We aim to express our love for God and neighbours in all that we do, and to help people discover for themselves the significance of Jesus Christ.

History

In 1835, Captain Allan Gardiner retired from the navy and went to Natal to begin missionary work amongst the Zulus. Although the Zulus as a whole were singularly disinterested in both his and most other missionary efforts, when he returned to Durban he received a cordial welcome by its White residents, and decided to build a church and a school on the wooded hill west of the bay.

Community Campus

The St Thomas Campus is a beautiful site between Musgrave and Essenwood roads.

It is a safe area with off-road parking.

A community project is being activated to utilize the campus as a safe place for children to play with their parents, incorporating open areas, trees, playground and service from St Clements Coffee Shop to provide any delights.

The church is open for contemplation and prayer.

We are looking for people to help us imagine and complete this community campus with ideas and with action. Please make contact.

Belonging

St. Thomas' is an Inclusive Church and welcomes all who would like to attend. Our table is open to all who have been baptised into Christ and who love Him as their Lord and Saviour.
